NEF's very own Tony Lyons attended the grand opening of the Brandywine Lofts and Farmstead Lofts in South Burlington, Vermont last week. Combined, these complexes offer 71 income-restricted units out of 94 total and are the largest single new construction infusion of affordable housing in Vermont in over 15 years.
These net-zero ready developments wouldn't have been possible without the shared efforts of state housing agencies, regional lenders and investors, local government, and developers. The celebration was well-attended by these projects' stakeholders and residents.
