In late June, a groundbreaking ceremony was held to celebrate the beginning of the rehabilitation of Encino Gardens, a senior housing community in Albuquerque. There have been no major renovations since the building's construction in 1978 and representatives at Encino Development & Management, Inc. anticipate that the rehab work will extend the service lifespan of these 165 affordable housing units for another 40 years.
All units at Encino Gardens will be reserved for households earning 30%, 50%, and 60% of the area median income (AMI). With the renovation of residential units, common-use spaces, lighting and mechanical systems, and parking, these seniors can age in place without compromising quality or affordability.
Thank you to our partners for preserving these affordable units and infusing new life into this complex!
