“This building exemplifies how NYCHA is a driving force in the multi-agency effort to create and preserve affordable housing in New York City. Last week’s topping off ceremony of the Betances VI was a success as partners came together to celebrate the completion of the Betances Family Apartments superstructure.
Situated in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx, this new development will create 101 units of affordable housing through the NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD) Extremely Low and Low-Income Affordability (ELLA) program, which means that homes will be affordable to households earning up to 80% of the Area Median Income. Additionally, 30 units will be set aside as supportive housing for formerly homeless individuals.
