Congratulations to our very own Debbie Burkart on receiving the Spirit of Mercy Award! Deb has been a leader at NEF for more than 30 years and a pioneer in bringing permanent supportive housing (PSH) to the forefront of affordable housing across the nation.
In her acceptance speech at Mercy Housing Lakefront's Moving Forward Together fundraiser, Deb spoke about not only the importance of Housing First in the PSH model but the urgent need to fund the services that support residents' transition into housing and maintain stability.
