Congratulations to our partners at HACE and the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) on the completion of Rafael Porrata-Doria Place in North Philly!
Not only does this affordable housing development bring 30 units reserved for households that are 55 years of age and older or living with intellectual disabilities, it also offers over 2,000 sq. ft. of commercial space to bring small businesses to El Centro de Oro Commercial Corridor. The site of Rafael Porrata-Doria Place was once home to a nightclub, but it will now serve as a safe, stable, and affordable home for seniors. Due to HACE's other housing developments' age requirement of 62 years of age and older, many seniors between 55-61 years of age, who have been waitlisted for years, can qualify to live at Rafael Porrata-Doria Place.
