WSFSSH at West 108 Celebrates Joyous Dedication & Grand Opening

November 04, 2022

"A Joyous Dedication" couldn't be more accurate for last week's grand opening of WSFSSH at West 108th Street. Located in the expensive Upper West Side of Manhattan, WSFSSH at W. 108 is an innovative co-location of 100 shelter beds for seniors experiencing homelessness and 199 permanent supportive housing units for low-income and formerly homeless seniors, many of whom are living with serious mental illness and/or substance-use disorders.

Residents can feel empowered by the supportive services offered to them, from case management and crisis intervention, to nutrition classes and recreational activities. Additionally, a federally qualifies health center offers primary care and specialized services at low or no cost for residents and the wider community. As Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine put it, this is an "affordable housing eco system that elevates everyone."

Thank you to our partners at WEST SIDE FEDERATION FOR SENIOR AND SUPPORTIVE HOUSING for your tremendous commitment to providing care and tailored services for our seniors as well as to ending the homelessness crisis. We are honored to work alongside you to ensure that all individuals and families can have supportive and stable homes.
